Abandoned

I had to be quick with this one! For one thing, I am no photographer. Setting stops & speeds is just a burden I can hardly cope with. Second, this is infrared. So all setting calculations have to be made to something invisible to you or your camera. Lastly, workers were in the process of tearing the building down! Just out of frame was one of those jaws of death cranes that chews up buildings and spits them out.

In the uncropped, original photo you see my bike in the extreme foreground. I hopped off, stepped back and started snapping before the crane came back in view. I have a few shots with the crane I may post sometime. But they're all wrong. The crane just ruins it somehow. Plus the images are poorly developed.

This is one of the very few IR pictures that I was very pleased with the final image. I find IR photography to be a very elusive medium. So rarely does everything turn out.
